On Saturday, September 8, 2018, Seattle Meditation Center participated in the annual event of Thai people who are residing in Seattle and neighbouring cities entitled "Thai Festival 2018".
The event was held in North Community College organized by Thai Association of Washington State (TAWA). Seattle Meditation Center had an opportunity to provide meditation and Thai Buddhist booths. There, books and CDs about meditation and Thai Buddhism were distributed to those who were interested in free. There were many people interested in meditation and Thai Buddhism asking questions and taking some books home.
Moreover, the short meditation class where people can get to know and learn about the basic meditation was presented. There were many people interested and trying the short meditation class. At the result, some wanted to join the regular meditation class at Seattle Meditation Center.

This beginners group meets from 7 to 8:30 pm every Tuesday and Thursday at the Seattle Meditation Center.
Schedule:
7:00 pm – Register & stretch
7:30 pm – meditation instruction by a Buddhist monk
7:50 pm – meditation practice
8:20 pm – spread loving kindness
8:30 pm – share experience, A&Q, group pictures and end of the session.
